Engineering lead on Sitecore's Commerce Experience Accelerator — 7 major releases, 9 engineers, adopted globally

The Challenge

The Sitecore Commerce Experience Accelerator (CXA) had to solve one of the hardest problems in enterprise commerce product engineering: how do you build a reference storefront that is generic enough for global use but specific enough to be production-ready? Sitecore's partner network needed to scaffold fully functional commerce storefronts in days, not months — while retaining the extensibility to meet each client's specific requirements.

The Approach

Jehad joined the CXA team as a Senior Developer and progressed to Team Lead, ultimately leading nine engineers through seven major product releases. The signature feature was the Scaffolding Wizard — enabling partners to deploy fully functional commerce storefronts from templates in minutes. Jehad introduced TDD practices that elevated the codebase to 81% test coverage.

The Outcome

The Scaffolding Wizard became a core feature adopted by Sitecore partners globally. Sitecore recognised Jehad's contributions with the Sitecore Superstar Award. Seven major releases were shipped over the tenure, maintaining backward compatibility and global partner support throughout.
